Whisky analysis by electrospray ionization-Fourier transform mass spectrometry

► Profiles of whiskies' polar constituents from different brands were obtained. ► No pre-separation or extraction steps were employed to whiskies' FT-ICR MS analyses. ► Adulteration and counterfeiting of whiskies were also promptly identified.
