Depositional framework and sequence stratigraphy of the Cenomanian-Turonian rocks on the western side of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt

► Four sedimentary facies were recognized in the Cenomanian-Turonian succession. ► The facies are peritidal clastic & carbonates and sallow & deep subtidal facies. ► This succession is divided into four sequences delineated by five boundaries. ► Sedimentation of the sequences is controlled by local, regional and global factors.
