The dinocyst record across the Cretaceous/Palaeogene boundary of a bathyal mid-latitude Tethyan setting: Gosau Group, Gams Basin, Austria

► We did first Palynological study at the K/Pg boundary in the Gams Basin, Austria. ► Over 178 dinoflagellate cyst species and subspecies were identified. ► well-known dinocyst marker species around the K/Pg boundary were recorded. ► 6 dinocyst assemblages and 4 palynovacies assemblages were identified. ► Spongodinium delitiense acmes are recorded above the K/Pg boundary.
