Novel catalyst for the WGS reaction in a Pd-membrane reactor

- Pt(0.6 wt%)/La2O3(27 wt%)·SiO2 is active, stable, selective, non carbon forming.
- The Pt dispersion did not change after exposure to the WGS reacting stream.
- The stability is not affected by start-up/shut-down cycles under WGS reaction.
- High CO conversions (97%) and hydrogen recoveries (92%) were achieved.
