Preparation of a novel 1D Co(II) coordination polymer Co(dpa)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)2 catalyst for the allylic oxidation of cyclohexene

A novel Co(II) coordination polymer Co(dpa)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)2 was synthesized via the hydrothermal assembly of Co2 + with 2,2′-diphenic acid and 2,2′-bipyridine. It has shown an efficient catalytic activity for the solvent-free allylic oxidation of cyclohexene by oxygen.198
