The effect of partial substitution of Co in LaMnO3 synthesized by sol-gel methods for NO oxidation

► LaMn1−yCoyO3 catalysts were synthesized by the sol-gel methods with citric acid. ► NO oxidation activity was improved in non-linear order, and achieved the best at y = 0.1. ► Substitution influenced the structural, reducing and activated oxygen properties.
