Microwave-assisted ionothermal synthesis of hierarchical microcube-like BiOBr with enhanced photocatalytic activity

BiOBr with hierarchical morphologies and hydrogen bond-co-π-π stacking was successfully synthesized via microwave-assisted ionothermal self-assembly, and it exhibited high activity owing to the enhanced light absorbance and narrow bandgap.
