Superior performance of iridium supported on rutile titania for the catalytic decomposition of N2O propellants

An Ir/r-TiO2 catalyst exhibits high activity for the decomposition of high concentration N2O, which is promising as a green propellant. Highly dispersed Ir particles and easy transfer of oxygen were critical for the decomposition process via bridge-bonded peroxide intermediates.
