Chiral basket-handle porphyrin-Co complexes for the catalyzed asymmetric cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides

Novel C2 symmetric chiral basket-handle cobaltoporphyrin complexes are synthesized and applied as catalysts for the asymmetric cycloaddition of CO2 to propylene oxide, yielding relevant chiral propylene carbonate with good enantioselectivity.
