Optimizing locations for the installation of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in urban public streets through the use of spatial and temporal weighting schemes

► It is feasible that using 7-Elevens for AED installations in urban settings. ► Spatial and temporal factors of OHCA patients should be considered comprehensively. ► We conclude that each 7-Eleven has a different role for allocating AEDs. ► The AEDs at 7-Elevens in commercial areas compensate for the temporal gap of EMS. ► The AEDs in residential areas compensate for the spatial gap of areas far from EMS.
