Automated sensing of hydroponic macronutrients using a computer-controlled system with an array of ion-selective electrodes

► An ISE-based, automated test stand for direct measurement of hydroponic nutrients is developed. ► The sensitivity and selectivity of PVC membranes for NO3, K, Ca, and Mg are tested. ► Tested ISEs provide good estimates for NO3-N and K in hydroponic solution.
