Automated extraction of tree and plot-based parameters in citrus orchards from aerial images

► A plot-based method to extract fruit trees in high spatial resolution images is proposed. ► This methodology is applicable to large agricultural land parcel identification systems. ► Each tree is described with its location, and radiometric and morphological characteristics. ► Each plot is described with descriptive parameters about the trees and their spatial distribution.
