The intrinsic mechanism of methane oxidation under explosion condition: A combined ReaxFF and DFT study

The concentration changes of main species involved in the methane-oxygen explosion process are revealed along with MD simulation time. The CH4 is oxidized by forming the main intermediates, CH3OH and HCHO.
