A DNS study of the effect of particle feedback in a gas-solid three dimensional plane jet

► DNS of a gas-solid 3d plane jet is carried out using the two-way coupling method. ► Effects of mass loading on modification of turbulence and particle are explored. ► A loading dependent asymmetric modulation of large scale vortex is observed. ► Modulation of turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds stress is explored. ► Modification of particle dispersion characteristics by mass loadings is explained.
