Experimental investigation on the injection of an urea-water solution in hot air stream for the SCR application: Evaporation and spray/wall interaction

► Urea water solution spray has been investigated in hot air stream. ► An experimental bench that provides Diesel exhaust conditions has been used. ► The wall film formation issued from the drop impaction has been visualized. ► The spray evaporation has been studied with the laser light sheet imaging. ► An original methodology has been proposed to estimate the drop evaporation rate.
