Mathematical modelling of straw combustion in a moving bed combustor: A two dimensional approach

► We model the straw combustion process in a moving bed using original C++ programme. ► We examine the influence of primary air flow on the combustion process. ► Forming of two stages: the preheat stage and intense reaction stage. ► Influence of cold primary air on reaction zone is shown as being significant.
