Experimental investigation of adsorption of a new nonionic surfactant on carbonate minerals

► Novel surfactant has been introduced for enhanced oil recovery. ► Adsorption of new surfactant onto carbonate reservoir rock has been investigated by conductivity method. ► With increase in the surfactant concentration, the adsorption onto the carbonate rocks increases until the saturation point. ► Freundlich equilibrium adsorption was good agreement between the experimental data and model with R2 = 0.9926.
