Lanthanum-chromium-nickel perovskites for the catalytic cracking of tar model compounds

- Gasification produces tar, that can be converted by means of catalytic cracking.
- LaNi0.3Fe0.7O3 is active but not stable in normal operating conditions.
- A new peorvskite LaNixCr1-xO3 was tested with naphthalene and n-hexadecane.
- Chromium was found to be able to stabilize the perovskite structure.
