Zeolites formation by hydrothermal alkali activation of coal fly ash from thermal power station “Maritsa 3”, Bulgaria

- Successful short-term zeolitization of fly ash, obtained from low-rank coals.
- SEM-EDX analyses of individual fly ash particles, gel aggregates, zeolite crystals.
- Zeolitic materials, containing hydroxy sodalite, NaA, or Linde F as main a product.
- The dominating zeolite phase was designed during the initial intensive nucleation.
