Mixing and atomization characteristics in an internal-mixing twin-fluid atomizer

► Flow pattern transformation were studied at different GLR and pressure. ► GLR dominates flow patterns inside the mixing chamber. ► SMD and velocity distribution outside the atomizer were measured. ► Optimized pressure of 0.2-0.3 MPa was identified in the undeveloped region. ► Droplets coalescence and break-up effects were represented by PDF of SMD.
