Combustion of coal, bagasse and blends thereof

► Batch combustion of fixed beds of neat coal emitted more CO2 than those of bagasse. ► Batch combustion of fixed beds of neat coal emitted less CO and PAHs than bagasse. ► Batch combustion of fixed beds of neat coal emitted more particulates than bagasse. ► Batch combustion coal/bagasse blends emitted less CO and PAHs than either neat fuel. ► The presence of the secondary furnace (afterburner) decreased PAH emissions.
