CO2 capture over amine-functionalized MCM-22, MCM-36 and ITQ-2

► MCM-22, MCM-36, and ITQ-2 were collectively evaluated as a CO2 capturing agent. ► Detailed characterization of the materials was carried out. ► CO2 capture capacities were related to the properties of the zeolites tested. ► Amine grafted ITQ-2 showed excellent CO2/N2 selectivity and breakthrough behavior. ► Adsorbents demonstrated stable cyclic CO2 adsorption-desorption performances.
