Modeling the slag layer in solid fuel gasification and combustion - Two-way coupling with CFD

► In this study we implement a multiphase slag layer model in a CFD framework. ► The model considers slag flow characteristics, particle capture and wall consumption. ► The discrete phase and temperature boundary conditions of the CFD are changed. ► Slag layer does not significantly affect wall temperature and heat flux.
