Preliminary studies on fuel production through LCO hydrocracking on noble-metal supported catalysts

► Catalyst acidity is a key factor in the hydrocracking of LCO. ► Hβ and HY zeolites are suitable supports for selectively obtaining naphtha and medium distillates, respectively. ► Pt is more active than Pd. ► Pt-Pd/HY catalyst is more stable and suitable for high quality medium distillates.
