Transesterification of rapeseed oil over acid resins promoted by supercritical carbon dioxide

▶ Acid resin catalyzed methanolysis of rapeseed oil in the presence of supercritical carbon dioxide. ▶ Methyl ester yields were almost doubled in the presence of CO2 at total pressure such low as 10-11 MPa. ▶ Most of the esters were formed during the first three hours of reaction time. ▶ Ester yields increased with the MeOH/Oil molar ratio.
