Continuous extraction of glycerol acetates from their mixture using supercritical carbon dioxide

▶ The enrichment of a mixture composed of about 31, 50, and 19 (w/w %) of TA, DA, and MA, respectively, was accomplished by a continuous fractionation process up to about 92.5% TA and 12.1% DA with no MA detected. ▶ The mixture is more valuable for many applications such as fuel additive. ▶ Interestingly, % extraction yield of TA increased without loss of selectivity at higher pressures and liquid CO2 flow rates.
