Life Cycle Assessment of alveolar brick construction system incorporating phase change materials (PCMs)

► An LCA evaluation of alveolar bricks and macroencapsulated PCM facades is done. ► A reduction of the environmental impact is reached due. ► This reduction is due to the energy savings achieved during the operational phase. ► This reduction compensates the increase of the environmental impact due to the PCM. ► The overall benefit of PCM is the highest when all year summer weather conditions are assumed.
