Renewable Energy for Pump Stations Operation in Delta Region Using GIS Technique “Study Case: El_Menoufia Governorate”

The amount of generated solar power is calculated with specifying the Photo voltaic type, and the needed areas to install the PV panels. In addition the impact of used diesel pumps on the environment and the amount of CO2 emitted were obtained. Two models under Geographic Information System (GIS) technique have been used; (a) Geo-statistical and (b) Solar radiation models.
