► A bootstrap aggregated model approach to the estimation of product quality in refineries with varying crudes is presented. ► An on-line feed oil classifier based bootstrap aggregated neural network is developed to determine the feed oil type. ► Bootstrap aggregated PLS models are developed for kerosene dry point estimation.
