Soft template synthesis of poly(o-phenylenediamine) nanotubes and its application in self healing coatings

► PoPD nanotubes were synthesized by β-CD mediated microemulsion polymerization. ► PoPD nanotubes were characterized by SEM, TEM, UV-vis, FTIR techniques. ► The coating containing PoPD nanotubes showed a higher coating resistance.
