Study on synthesis and thickening property of hyperbranched waterborne polyurethane

- A series of HWPU with hydrophobic end groups was prepared and characterized.
- The thickening effect of HWPU increased with increasing its content.
- The thickening effect was related to the degree of branching.
- Mn,PEG and the content of hydrophobic end groups influenced its thickening effect.
