Dispersion of chiral amino acid organomodified Cloisite Na+ in poly(vinyl alcohol) matrix for designing of novel bionanocomposite films

► L-Valine as a natural modifier was used for the modification of Cloisite Na+ in water as a green media. ► This organo-bionanoclay (OBN) was used for the preparation of PVA bionanocomposites film. ► The structure and properties and of the OBN and PVA/OBN were studied with various techniques. ► SEM and TEM show uniform distribution of OBN in the PVA matrix.
