Anticorrosion performance of eco-friendly silane primer for coil coating applications

► Optimization of sol/water ratio of silane primer. ► Three different formulations of sol (GPTMS + MTMS) 5%, 15% and 30% were developed. ► 15 wt% showed significant improvement in the adhesion and corrosion resistance. ► Adhesion of PVDF, PV, PE top coat on primer coated Al coils were investigated.
