Efficient preparation of hybrid nanocomposite coatings based on poly(vinyl alcohol) and silane coupling agent modified TiO2 nanoparticles

► Preparation of new poly(vinyl alcohol)/TiO2 nanocomposite coatings. ► The surface of TiO2 nanoparticles was modified using KH550 as a coupling agent. ► The resulting nanocomposites were fully characterized by various techniques. ► TEM images show that the modified TiO2 were dispersed in PVA matrix on nanoscale.
