Polymeric nanoparticles as a platform for permeability enhancement of class III drug amikacin

Amikacin loaded PLGA nanoparticles (A-NPs) prepared through double emulsion solvent evaporation technique elicited enhanced entrapment efficiency and drug loading, improved permeation across intestinal epithelium, biphasic release pattern and antimicrobial activity against P. aeruginosa, K. pneumoniae and E. coli.
