Novel in situ gel systems based on P123/TPGS mixed micelles and gellan gum for ophthalmic delivery of curcumin

- Curcumin-loaded P123/TPGS mixed micelle in situ gels (CUR-MM-ISGs) were prepared.
- Curcumin-loaded mixed micelles had high drug-loading and entrapment efficiency.
- CUR-MM-ISGs showed a sustained release behaviour and had no irritation.
- CUR-MM-ISGs improved the cornea permeability of curcumin.
- CUR-MM-ISGs had been proved the potential as ocular drug delivery system.
