Electrostatic potential distribution of a soft spherical particle with a charged core and pH-dependent charge density

- The particle has a charged core and pH-dependent charge density.
- The analysis better captures the electrostatics of the MS2 bacteriophage virus.
- Our analysis substantially redresses the findings of a similar recent study.
