Biomimetic glycopolymers tethered gold nanoparticles: Preparation, self-assembly and lectin recognition properties

- Novel gold nanoparticles tethered with glycopolymers (Gly@Au NPs) were prepared.
- The self-assembly morphology of Gly@Au NPs changed from clusters to spheres.
- The morphology can be tuned by changing the weight fraction of the hydrophobic block.
- The Gly@Au NPs can bind Concanavalin A specifically in aqueous solution.
