Green synthesis, characterization and anti-inflammatory activity of silver nanoparticles using European black elderberry fruits extract

- A completely green method for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles was developed.
- Polyphenols from European black elderberry fruit extract were used as reducing, stabilizing and capping agents.
- The synthesized nanoparticles were found to possess in vitro anti-inflammatory activity.
- AgNPs also exhibited promising in vivo anti-inflammatory properties.
