Effect of motion inputs on the wear prediction of artificial hip joints

► Computational wear modelling was conducted for UHMWPE hip joints. ► The loading/motion of the measured walking, the ISO and the ProSim simulator was analysed. ► The cross-shear ratios, slide tracks, and contact pressures were compared. ► The comparable wear was predicted.
