Abrasion behaviour of polymeric textiles for endovascular stent-grafts

► Three different materials, used in EVAR prosthesis, were analysed in terms of wear. ► ePTFE, PET and PET-LP materials were compared by the Martindale method. ► ePTFE surface is smashed forming a continuous layer reducing porosity. ► PET exhibited large abrasion areas with extensive fracture of the filaments. ► PET-LP presents a lower roughness, reducing friction and increasing wear resistance.
