Improved rate-based modeling of the process of CO2 capture with PZ solution

- A rate-based model is proposed to simulate CO2 removal by means of PZ scrubbing.
- The proposed model is based on the Eddy diffusivity theory.
- ASPEN Plus® has been used as a framework for modeling with an external subroutine.
- The proposed model has been validated in comparison with experimental data.
- An improvement in the prediction of mass transfer coefficient has been obtained.
