Constructal design of humidification-dehumidification desalination unit architecture

►We model a humidification-dehumidification unit by using the constructal theory. ►The main purpose of the present research work is maximization of water production. ►We use the Lagrange multipliers method to optimize the fresh water production rate. ►The effects of inlet water streams temperatures on design parameters were presented. ►The optimal configuration of HD system is consequently temperature dependent.
