This research aims to investigate the influence of the tube thickness in the zigzag-semiconductor carbon nanotube junction on the quantum conductance using the tight binding model and the Green's function technique. The conductance of (12,0)/(6,6) carbon nanotube junction decreases with the thickness of the tube. However, the conductance behavior of (10,0)/(5,5) depends on the thickness of each part. These junctions could be used as the building blocks of nanoscale diodes.
