Critical flux of surface-patterned ultrafiltration membranes during cross-flow filtration of colloidal particles

Cross-flow filtration of colloidal suspensions through ultrafiltration membranes with lithographically patterned surfaces was investigated. For the surface-patterned UF membranes, the critical flux increases with particle size, pattern height, cross-flow velocity, and the angle between the feed flow and the pattern lines.253
