Kinetic aspects of Donnan dialysis through Nafion-117 membrane

▸ The kinetics of a Donnan dialysis process has been measured. ▸ Nernst Planck equation has been solved to study the transport of ions. ▸ The calculations based on mass balance approach have also been carried out. ▸ The calculated results have been explained in the light of experimental findings. ▸ The self-diffusion coefficient of Mg2+ in Nafion-117 has been first time reported.
