Using phasor data records and sequence of events to automate the classification of disturbances of power generating units

► We proposed a scheme to automate the analysis of disturbances in power generation. ► Phasor records and sequence of events are used and processed by expert systems. ► The scheme significantly reduces the time spent by the analysts in their task. ► About 95% of the cases can be automatically analyzed without human intervention.
