Effect of solution composition on seeded precipitation of calcium for high recovery RO of magnesium-bearing wastewater, surface water or groundwater

SEM images of the seed particles after seeded precipitation showed CaCO3 seeds that appeared to be covered with a thin layer of precipitate. SEM images of the solid formed after CaHPO4 seeded precipitation, however, showed seed that had a thick covering of very small particles.
