Induced voltages and currents on electrical wirings in building directly hit by lightning

Induced voltages and currents on electrical wirings in a building directly hit by lightning are studied by using numerical electromagnetic analysis. It turns out that installation of SPD is indispensable at low-voltage wirings and communication lines. The effectiveness and energy rating of SPD installed on the electrical wirings are also discussed.
