Bactericide and bacterial anti-adhesive properties of the nanocrystalline diamond surface

► P. aeruginosa is unable to produce colonies after 13 h on NCD. ► The surface of Poly, Ag, SS and MCD were found to be less harmful to P. aeruginosa than NCD. ► We determined that P. aeruginosa is unable to produce colonies after 2 h on Cu, which is considered to be a standard bactericide surface. ► NCD has better bactericide and bacterial anti-adhesive properties than Ag, although not as good as Cu.
